The Tall Ships Race

On Wednesday 27 July 2005 the NENDA group met at the Old George and from there went down to the Quayside to see if they could see the Tall ships that were on the Tyne at that time for the Tall Ships Race. 

The event was extremely popular with the people of the North East and the crowds were large. The Tall ships were on the North side of the Tyne and on the Gateshead side was a small fair which included a large Ferris wheel

During the course of the evening some of the group had to drop out, but a few hardy souls did make it to the Ouseburn Valley
